People in Scotland spend more on nights out than their London-based counterparts, adding to any debt problems, new research has suggested.
Following research that British singletons have a higher disposable monthly income than those in a relationship, a study by Fool has stated that people in Scotland spend an average of £74 per month on nights out, compared with the £61 paid by Londoners.
However, people in London spend an average of £17 on their looks every month, compared with just £12 by those in Scotland, the research also showed.
David Kuo, head of personal finance at Fool.co.uk, said: "Londoners actually spend slightly less money than the people in the north and in Scotland.
"Having been up to places in the north, people do like to go out and socialise and they do like to go out a lot, so perhaps this is being blown up by the research."
